Mauricio B.

Mauricio B. has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and industries. Mauricio recently joined Elastacloud as a Software & Data Engineer in October 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Radix Engineering and Software, where they held multiple positions. As a Tech Lead from June 2021 to October 2021, Mauricio led technical teams and developed state-of-the-art solutions in the energy sector, including software architecture, data engineering/analysis, and machine learning solutions. Before that, they served as a Software Engineer and Data Analyst from October 2019 to June 2021 and as a Software Analyst from April 2019 to October 2019 at the same company.

Mauricio's career started at Enel Brasil, where they worked as a Technical Assistant from March 2018 to July 2018 and as an Intern from February 2016 to February 2018. In these roles, they participated in tax revision and technical losses processes, managed the assets database, and developed tools to enhance its quality and reliability. Mauricio also assisted in the registration of new assets.

Prior to their experience at Enel Brasil, Mauricio worked as a Researcher at CNPq from June 2015 to December 2016.

Mauricio B. pursued a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from 2013 to 2018 at Universidade Federal Fluminense. Following that, they obtained a Master's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Politecnico di Milano in 2018. Later, from 2019 to 2021, they pursued another Master's degree, this time in Computer Science from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro.

In addition to their formal education, Mauricio has obtained several certifications. Mauricio became a Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator Associate in January 2022 and a Microsoft Certified Azure Cosmos DB Developer Specialty in January 2023. Mauricio also holds various certifications from Databricks, including Business Leader, SQL Analyst, and Platform Administrator, all obtained in June and July 2021. Mauricio has completed multiple Coursera courses, including "Convolutional Neural Networks", "Fundamentals of Reinforcement Learning", "Prediction and Control with Function Approximation", "Sample-based Learning Methods", "Sequence Models", "An Intuitive Introduction to Probability", "Deep Learning", "Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter tuning, Regularization and Optimization", "Neural Networks and Deep Learning", "Structuring Machine Learning Projects", and "The Data Scientist's Toolbox", all completed in July 2020. Furthermore, they completed the course "Blockchain Basics" in June 2020 and the "Machine Learning, Data Science, and Deep Learning with Python" course on Udemy in February 2018. Mauricio also obtained the certification "Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Fundamentals" in October 2021 and the "SQL (Advanced)" certification from HackerRank in February 2022.
