Daniel Aschwanden

Daniel Aschwanden currently serves as Site Reliability Engineering Manager at Elastic since November 2022 and is also a Founding Board Member and Lead Developer at F-ELD since May 2023. Previously, Daniel held roles at Locatee as Deputy Head Of Engineering and Lead Cloud Engineer from October 2019 to August 2022, and at Init7 (Schweiz) AG as Team Lead System Engineering for a brief period in 2019. Daniel has extensive experience at Open Systems from December 2012 to July 2019, where duties included Lead Engineer and Senior Engineer, focusing on developing and operating monitoring and configuration management infrastructure. Daniel also contributed as a Security Engineer in the Application Services Team at Open Systems. Daniel’s academic background consists of a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology from ETH Zürich, the latter completed in 2010. The master thesis involved engineering an application to detect Internet connectivity issues.
