Mara Nicholson

Mara Nicholson is an accomplished accounting and finance professional with extensive experience in leadership roles. Currently serving as the Senior Director of Accounting Operations at Elastic since August 2020, Mara oversees global accounting operations, including payroll, stock administration, and procure-to-pay processes. Previously, at VMware from April 2007 to April 2020, Mara held multiple director-level positions, leading finance global processes and financial reporting, managing SEC reporting, and collaborating with cross-functional teams on significant business initiatives. Early career experiences include roles at IDT and Ernst and Young LLP, where Mara honed expertise in financial reporting and internal audit. Mara holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Finance from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo.
