Matthew MacLean

Matthew MacLean is a seasoned cybersecurity professional with extensive experience in consulting and security architecture. Currently serving as Principal Consulting Architect at Elastic since April 2019, Matthew has previously held various roles, including Consulting Architect and Consulting Engineer EMEA. Prior to joining Elastic, Matthew worked at Custodian Network Security as a Security Analyst and at Unisys as a 2nd line SOC Analyst, focusing on security information and event management. Additional experience includes operational security analysis at Tesco Bank and vulnerability management at the Royal Bank of Scotland. Matthew began a career in technology as a Network Engineer at Aberdeenshire Council after earning a BEng in Computer Network Management & Design from Robert Gordon University.
