Robert Waight

Robert Waight holds extensive experience in security architecture and engineering, currently serving as Principal Security Education Architect at Elastic since September 2018, with a focus on providing technical guidance and support for various Elastic Stack implementations. Waight has also been a Chief Warrant Officer in the Army National Guard since November 2006, where responsibilities include leading computer and network security efforts, engineering IT security solutions, and managing information systems support for brigade operations. Prior roles include Professional Services Consultant at LogRhythm, Information Security Manager at Gordmans, and Senior Security Analyst at IBM, showcasing a comprehensive background in IT security operations, compliance, and risk management. Waight earned a Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems from Western Illinois University and holds additional qualifications from Southwest Wisconsin Technical College and Carl Sandburg College.
