Tal Borenstein serves as the Director of Engineering at Elastic since May 2025, following a tenure as CEO and Co-Founder of Keep, which was acquired by Elastic. Prior experience includes roles as Engineering Group Manager and Founding Engineer at anecdotes, as well as a Teaching Assistant at Reichman University in the Human-Computer Interaction field. Tal previously held positions as Engineering Manager and Software Engineer at Cyberbit, Software Engineer at TrapX Security, and worked as a SWE Freelancer. Tal began a career in software engineering with Israeli Military Intelligence - Unit 8200. Tal holds a degree in Business Administration and Entrepreneurship from Reichman University and completed training at Y Combinator in Winter 2023.
