Tim Brooks

Tim Brooks is a seasoned software engineer currently serving as a Principal Software Engineer on the Elasticsearch distributed team at Elastic since December 2016, having previously held the position of Senior Software Engineer. Prior to Elastic, Tim worked at Staples SparX from February 2014 to December 2016, focusing on the development of the core SparX platform through services written in Clojure and Java that enhance user interaction tracking and A/B testing. Tim began a career at Asynchrony Labs as a software engineer from January 2013 to January 2014, contributing to various projects, including an Eclipse RCP application and an Android application. Tim's early experience includes a role as a Systems Integration Analyst at Accenture, where responsibilities involved troubleshooting defects in postal applications for the USPS from October 2011 to January 2013. Tim holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Math from William Jewell College, completed in 2011, and graduated from Parkview High School in 2007.
