Trent Mick

Trent Mick is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in the technology sector. Currently serving as a Principal Engineer at Elastic since October 2020, Trent previously held the position of Lead Software Engineer at Joyent from October 2010 to October 2020. Earlier in their career, Trent worked at ActiveState Software Inc. in various roles including Komodo Lead, Senior Developer, and Developer from January 2000 to October 2010. Additional experience includes serving as a Senior Developer at Sophos from 2003 to 2006 and as a Software Developer at Electronic Arts (EA) in 1999. Trent earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Saskatchewan between 1995 and 1997, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Engineering Physics from the same institution from 1991 to 1995.
