Leonid Melnikov is an accomplished program and technical manager with extensive experience in the civil aviation and defense sectors. Since June 2016, Melnikov has been with Elbit Systems Israel, leading innovative projects with comprehensive technical responsibilities, including project execution, development cycles, and customer communications. Prior to this, Melnikov served as R&D Manager at Opgal from May 2013 to July 2016, overseeing a multidisciplinary team and managing multiple projects and budgets. Earlier roles include System Engineer at Elbit Systems Ltd from September 2008 to May 2013, where Leonid defined system requirements and conducted validation activities, and a project officer in the Israel Defense Forces from September 2003 to August 2008, managing project lifecycles and ensuring compliance with military needs. Leonid holds a Master’s degree in Electro-optics from Ben-Gurion University and a Bachelor’s degree in Electric and Electronics Engineering from Braude Academic College.
