Peter Dowds has a diverse work experience. Peter began their career in 2006 as a Vacation Placement at DLA Piper, then returned in 2008 as a Trainee Lawyer and Mergers and Acquisitions. In 2010, they were a Legal and Business Affairs secondee at Better Capital LLP, and a Legal and Business Affairs Executive (secondee) at FremantleMedia. In 2012, they were a Secondee at Lendlease, and in 2013, they co-founded mopp.com and scaled it to tens of thousands of customers. In 2014, they were Snr Director, International at Handy HQ, where they achieved 3x growth. Finally, in 2015, they became CEO & Co-Founder at elder HQ, where they have helped Elders stay happy at home, giving peace of mind to families and great work for carers, and has delivered over 10 million hours of care in more than 500 UK towns and cities.

Peter Dowds obtained a PG Dip Law from The University of Sheffield in 2008, an LLB Hons in Law from The University of Sheffield in 2007, and graduated from St Modan's High School in 2003.
