John Coleman

John Coleman has a comprehensive work experience in finance and accounting within the healthcare industry. John started their career as a Staff Accountant at Thomas Lewis and Associates from 2007 to 2010. John then worked at UnitedHealth Group, where they served as a Senior Accountant from 2010 to 2012 and later as an Accounting Consultant from 2012 to 2014. At UnitedHealth Group, they managed the accounting for large Medicaid health plans and Dual Eligible SNP plans.

In 2014, John joined UCare as the Manager of Accounting and Financial Reporting, overseeing the accounting and financial reporting for three legal entities with significant revenues. John developed forecasts and budgets, handled internal and external regulatory financial reporting, and led the annual corporate financial audit.

From 2018 to 2021, John worked as the Director of Finance and Accounting at Hennepin Health, where they established the Finance and Actuarial functions. John streamlined accounting processes, reducing administrative costs across the organization.

Currently, John serves as the Vice President of Finance at Elderplan Inc. John is recognized for their strategic leadership and financial expertise, providing data-driven solutions and ensuring financial stability and growth for the organization.

John Coleman completed a Mini MBA in Health Care Management at the University of St. Thomas in 2015. Prior to that, they pursued a degree in Accounting and Economics at the same university from 2004 to 2008.
