I'm running because, in my time as a City Council Member and President, I've dealt head-on with the major regional issues facing our community — affordable housing, homelessness, access to quality healthcare, major transportation and infrastructure projects, and economic development. I recognize the unique opportunity a County Commissioner has to facilitate cooperation between the county, state, our cities and towns, nonprofit organizations, public agencies, and private businesses to make progress for the benefit of everyone in Kitsap.

I know I can excel at this job. In addition to City experience, as Director of the Kitsap History Museum I intimately understand our county's journey and our shared values and priorities, and first-hand have dealt with the challenges facing small business. My background as a NASA PhD Scientist provides me with a forward-thinking vision for the future, envisioning a resilient Kitsap in the 21st century. And as a certified Project Management Professional, I possess the expertise to turn vision into action.

I'm so fortunate to call Kitsap home, to live here with my husband and son, and to raise him in this community.

I hope to have your support, and look forward to Bridging Our Future together!
