Gary Wolfe

Principal Structural Engineer

Gary Wolfe has accumulated extensive experience in aerospace engineering, beginning with a role as an Engineering Technician at Aberdeen Test Center in June 2012. Subsequent internships and positions include System Engineering Intern at Sikorsky Aircraft and Research Assistant at Composites Research Lab. From August 2015 to March 2017, Gary held the position of Graduate Research Assistant at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology while pursuing a Master’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering. Following that, Gary served as Senior Structural Engineer at Aurora Flight Sciences Corporation from April 2017 to March 2024, leading stress analysis for DARPA’s X-65 program. Currently, Gary is the Principal Structural Engineer at Electra.aero, focusing on the prototype 9-passenger hybrid electric eSTOL aircraft. Gary holds both a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical, and Astronautical Engineering from the University of Maryland College Park and Massachusetts Institute of Technology, respectively.
