Associate Proccess Engineer at ElectraMet™

Cameron Carugati began their work experience in June 2023 as an Associate Process Engineer at ElectraMet™. Prior to that, they worked as an Undergraduate Researcher at The University of New Mexico from May 2021 to June 2023. In this role, they focused on optimizing aluminum air batteries through eutectic mixtures of salt melts and a solvent. Their responsibilities included building batteries, making ionic liquids, and conducting electrochemical testing such as cyclic voltammetry, plating & stripping, and impedance.

Cameron Carugati began their education in 2018 at Houston Community College, where they pursued a degree in Chemical Engineering. Their time at Houston Community College lasted until 2020 when they earned an Associate degree in Chemical Engineering. Subsequently, Cameron continued their education at the University of New Mexico School of Engineering starting in 2020. Their studies are focused on Chemical Engineering, and they are expected to graduate in 2023 with a degree in Chemical Engineering.
