Tim Kopp

Tim Kopp is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in the electrical and power systems sectors. Currently serving as Vice President of T&D Planning & Operations at Electric Power Engineers since July 2019, Tim Kopp is responsible for business development, budget management, growth strategies, and team leadership. Previously, Tim Kopp held multiple leadership roles at Electric Power Engineers, including Sr. Director of Transmission and Director of Transmission, where similar responsibilities were executed. Tim Kopp began their career at Midcontinent Independent System Operator from June 2010 to July 2019, advancing from Transmission Expansion Planning Engineer I to Resource Utilization Principal Engineer. Tim Kopp holds a Master's Degree in Engineering Management from St. Cloud State University and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Minnesota Duluth.
