EGM is owned equally by Siemens Project Venture GmbH, SOCAR Trading SA and GEM who combine a strong international and local expertise in development and operations of gas fired power plants and in management of logistics for LNG supply.

Provides construction and operation of CCGT power plants (with turbines designed, manufactured, commissioned and maintained by Siemens group) and as equity investor in various power projects worldwide. Socar being actively involved in the oil and gas sector, including LNG, as producer, transporter and marketer. EM, through its three leading local shareholders, provide the Project with required local support given its strategic nature for Malta.
