Diego Flores

Diego Flores is a seasoned CAE Engineer specializing in CFD at Electrolux since March 2019, focusing on developing engineering solutions through multi-physics approaches to enhance product design. Previously, Diego served as a Research Assistant at the Institute of Turbomachinery and Fluid Dynamics, where expertise in turbomachinery was cultivated through managing a project on cavity-shroud secondary flow interactions. Earlier experience includes a role as Project CFD Engineer in the HVAC Group at General Motors, overseeing full-vehicle three-dimensional CFD simulations from CAD geometry preparation to analysis presentation. Diego holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in turbomachinery from Leibniz Universität Hannover, a Master of Sciences in Mechanical Engineering from Instituto Politécnico Nacional, and a Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical Engineering from the same institution.
