Robert Carlton is currently an Instructor at Electron Microscopy Sciences where Robert teaches courses in Pharmaceutical Microscopy at the EMS microscopy academy. Robert is also an Instructor and Consultant at Carlton Microscopy and Consulting, specializing in pharmaceutical microscopy and solid-state analysis. With a background in Physical Chemistry earning their Ph.D. from Lehigh University, Robert has extensive experience in applying various microscopy techniques in the pharmaceutical industry, having previously worked at GlaxoSmithKline, Elan Pharmaceuticals, Rhone-Poulenc Rorer, and DePuy Orthopaedics. Prior to their career in microscopy, Robert worked as a Materials Testing Technician at CertainTeed Corporation, where Robert developed methods for fiberglass size measurements.
