A proven leader with a record of growth and innovation in sports entertainment, Cam Weber serves as Executive Vice President and Group General Manager of EA SPORTS & Racing.
Cam oversees an EA SPORTS & Racing portfolio that is a growth center for Electronic Arts, with franchises that are at the heart of how sports fandom is becoming increasingly interactive. More than 250 million players are engaged in EA SPORTS & Racing games around the world, including the largest interactive sports franchise on the world in EA SPORTS FIFA, the best-selling sports property in U.S. video game history in Madden NFL, the EA SPORTS F1 series that is helping to drive fandom in North America, as well as additional sports & racing franchises in NHL Hockey, UFC, PGA Tour, WRC and more.
Prior to his current role, Cam served as Senior Vice President and Group GM of BioWare/Tiburon, where he oversaw the development of titles created by the studios in Orlando, Austin, Edmonton, and Montreal. His portfolio included a broad collection of games, including sports franchises such as Madden NFL, Rory McIlroy PGA TOUR and NBA LIVE, along with many great BioWare franchises such as Dragon Age, Mass Effect, and Star Wars: The Old Republic.
Cam joined EA in early 2009 and spent his first two years at EA Canada where he worked on a number of franchises such as FIFA, Fight Night (where his team launched the first story mode in a AAA sports game with Fight Night Champion), NHL, and SSX. In 2011, he joined the Tiburon studio in Orlando, and took on the EA SPORTS American Football business, including Madden NFL and NCAA Football, soon becoming the Group GM of the studio.
Before joining Electronic Arts, Cam worked as an Executive Producer at Radical Entertainment for 11 years, building a wide variety of games as part of the Vivendi and Activision organizations. He holds an MBA from Simon Fraser University, and is a former starting quarterback and captain of the university’s varsity football team.
