Chris Murphy is an experienced legal professional with a focus on privacy and cybersecurity. Currently serving as Chief Privacy Officer and VP of Legal Affairs at Electronic Arts (EA) since October 2019, Chris has held several significant roles prior to this position, including Lead Counsel for Global Cybersecurity and Privacy at General Motors from November 2014 to October 2019. Chris's career also includes a tenure at Cozen O'Connor as a member of the Commercial Litigation Group, in-house counsel and director of operations at Web Elite/Eccompli Systems, and associate attorney at Kaufman Borgeest & Ryan LLP. Before entering private practice, Chris completed a judicial internship at the S.D.N.Y. for The Honorable Kevin Thomas Duffy. Chris holds a Juris Doctor degree from Boston College Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in English and Philosophy from the University of Michigan.
