Derek Chan

Derek Chan is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in product management and controllership, currently serving as the Director of IT Product Management at Electronic Arts (EA) since July 2005. In this role, Derek oversees the vision and roadmap for Fintech applications used by the internal Finance organization and collaborates with key stakeholders to strategize applications and capture business requirements. Previously, as Director of Controllership Europe, Derek was responsible for regional accounting and financial controllership, managing statutory compliance across multiple countries, and leading worldwide improvement projects. Derek's career began at KPMG, followed by a position at EY, and includes various roles in accounting and internal audit. Derek holds multiple accounting qualifications, including BFP ACA from ICAEW and CA from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Alberta, alongside a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Alberta.
