Sam Smith

Sam Smith is an accomplished communications professional with extensive experience in writing, editing, and media management. Currently serving as Communications Manager and EA Newsroom Brand Writer at Electronic Arts since March 2024, Sam has a background in freelance writing and editing since June 2009. Previous roles include Senior Communications Specialist for the City of Vancouver, Marketing Communications Specialist at VGH & UBC Hospital Foundation, and Communications Specialist at BC Children's Hospital Foundation, where responsibilities included stakeholder communication and collaborative marketing initiatives. Sam's career also encompasses positions in marketing and communications at the Wildlife Rescue Association of BC and Horizon DataSys, as well as a role as a reporter/photographer for Black Press. Sam holds a diploma in Journalism from Langara College.
