Peter then worked as a Senior Project Engineer at Dana Corporation from 1996 to 1999, where they designed embedded control algorithms and software for sensorless, switched reluctance motor controls and an automated manual transmission project. In 1999, they began working at Electronic Concepts & Engineering, Inc. (ECE) as a Senior Software Engineer, where they designed and developed software/firmware for embedded systems applications and performed quality assurance tasks. From 2006 to 2007, they worked at RM Michaelides as Director of Engineering, managing the day-to-day operations of a small engineering team. Peter then returned to ECE from 2007 to 2011 as a Senior Engineer, designing and developing algorithms for glass inspection systems and forming machine control systems. From 2011 to 2013, they worked at Owens-Illinois as a Senior Engineer, designing and implementing C-based Power PC software for forming machine control. Finally, from 2009 to present, they have been an Adjunct Instructor at Owens Community College.
Peter Szymanski's education history includes a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame, which they earned between 1990 and 1995. Peter also earned a Master of Science (MS) in Electrical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame between 1990 and 1992. Additionally, they received a BS in Computer Science and Engineering and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Electrical Engineering from The University of Toledo between 1983 and 1988.
