Giulia Thompson

Giulia Thompson has extensive experience in advanced development engineering and physics within the medical technology sector, currently serving as the Head of Advanced Development Engineering - Linac at Elekta since December 2000. Previous roles at Elekta include Head of System Physics, Head of Physics & Research, and Senior Manager of Physics R&D, beginning as a Physicist in various capacities. Prior to Elekta, Giulia held research fellowships at UCL and the University of Trieste, including roles as a Marie Curie Fellow and a Blanceflor-Boncompagni Fellowship recipient. Giulia's academic qualifications include a PhD in Radiation Physics from UCL and a post-graduate degree in Medical Physics, along with a Laurea in Physics from the Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna.
