John Chenoweth

John Chenoweth has extensive work experience in various roles related to product security, information technology, and marketing. John is currently serving as the Chief Product Security Officer at Elekta since 2023. Prior to this, they worked as the Director of Product Security at Swisslog Healthcare from 2019 to 2023. In this role, they led and built a software development product security team and addressed global product security for software and IoT hardware. John also had a role as the Security Manager for Software Product Development.

Before joining Swisslog Healthcare, John was the Vice President of Information Technology at Techniplas from 2016 to 2018. John managed direct reports and contractors across the country and executed IT strategies to drive internal innovation and digital transformation. In addition, they spearheaded a domain consolidation project and overhauled a paper-based time reporting system.

Prior to Techniplas, John worked at GE Healthcare as the Global Product Manager of Cyber Security from 2015 to 2016. John launched a new software, hardware, and professional service product line to provide security to medical devices and healthcare IT networks. John also defined healthcare network and information technology roadmaps and business plans.

John's earlier experiences include roles at Lockheed Martin as the Information Assurance Engineering Manager for Identity & Cyber Security from 2001 to 2015, at Excel Switching as a Senior Manager and Director from 1999 to 2001, at AirNet Communications as a Product Marketing Manager from 1996 to 1999, and at Nortel Networks as a Product Marketing Manager from 1990 to 1996. In these roles, they demonstrated skills in marketing, business development, product management, and defining product strategies and roadmaps.

John Chenoweth holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Engineering from Texas A&M University, which they obtained in 1989. John also holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from The University of Dallas, and a Master of Planning degree in Civic Urbanism from Rollins College. In addition to their academic qualifications, they have obtained certifications in Blockchain for Business and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
