Lorne Chi

Lorne Chi has a diverse work experience spanning various positions and sectors. Lorne is currently the VP, Head of Group Strategy, Sustainability & Transformation at Elekta since November 2022. Prior to this role, they served as the Director of Group Strategy at Elekta from April 2021 to November 2022.

Before joining Elekta, Lorne worked at McKinsey & Company as a Senior Engagement Manager from March 2014 to March 2021. In this role, they focused on advising clients in the healthcare, pharmaceutical, and medical device sectors, with expertise in digitally enabled transformations, growth strategy, M&A, operations, supply chain, and procurement.

Prior to McKinsey, Lorne served as a Malaria Program Manager at the Clinton Health Access Initiative, Inc. from November 2010 to July 2013. In this role, they provided strategic advice to the Government of Uganda and development partners in the design and implementation of a $100M, 3-year national malaria program, significantly improving access to malaria diagnosis and treatment.

Lorne also worked at the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care as a Portfolio Analyst from January 2009 to October 2010. In this role, they led a portfolio team that optimized a $100M health technology portfolio and implemented strategies to reduce laboratory service utilization and negotiate a $1.1B laboratory service tender.

Lorne Chi obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc) in Engineering Science from the University of Toronto, where they studied from 2002 to 2006. Lorne continued their education at the same institution and obtained a Master of Applied Science (MASc) in Clinical Engineering from 2006 to 2008.
