Joel Thurlby

Joel Thurlby is a seasoned System Architect and Functional Safety Expert at Elektrobit, with a professional background spanning over a decade. Since joining Elektrobit in September 2010, Joel has driven customer-oriented initiatives as a Scrum master, engaged actively in AUTOSAR working groups, and conducted various safety analyses including HAZOP, FMEA, and FTA. Joel has authored white papers, presented multiple webinars, and has been a key contributor to training activities in functional safety processes. Prior to Elektrobit, Joel worked as a Work Student at Diehl Aerospace GmbH, where significant contributions included the design of a color algorithm for LED systems and development of control applications. Joel also served as a Senior Radar Operator in the US Army, after obtaining bachelor's and master's degrees in Computer Science and Software Engineering, respectively.
