Thomas Harter currently serves as the Director and Head of Cockpit Systems at Elektrobit, a position held since April 2018. Prior to this, Thomas held the role of Senior Manager of Product R&D at e.solutions GmbH from October 2012 to March 2018. Thomas has extensive experience in the mobile communications field, having worked at Nokia from August 1998 to September 2012 in various R&D management positions, including Senior Manager Device Appearance and R&D Manager for Maintenance. Earlier in Thomas's career, contributions included the development of the world's first proximity detector in a mobile phone while employed as a Hardware Design Engineer at AEG Mobile Communication from May 1996 to August 1998. Thomas completed a degree in Nachrichtentechnik at Ravensburg-Weingarten University of Applied Sciences from 1991 to 1996.
