John Covell

John Covell is an experienced oil derivatives trader currently employed at ELEMENT Alpha since October 2023. Prior to this role, John Covell spent a decade at ExxonMobil, where positions included oil derivatives trader, crude oil trader, marine program optimizer, and third officer. John Covell earned a Bachelor’s degree in Marine Transportation with a minor in Ship Management from the State University of New York Maritime College and furthered education by obtaining a Master of Business Administration with a minor in Finance from Texas A&M University-Commerce.
