ELEMENT Alpha
Ugur Hekimoğlu is an experienced senior trader and industry leader with a substantial background in commodities trading, particularly in the oil sector. Currently serving as a Senior Trader at ELEMENT Alpha SA since August 2021, Ugur has also held the position of Head of Oil and Member of Senior Management at SIMEC Commodities SA since May 2016. Prior to this, Ugur managed trading operations in Turkey for SOCAR Trading S.A. from November 2018 to April 2021. Ugur's earlier career includes roles as Chef d'entreprise at CITY TRADE AND INVESTMENT SA and Managing Director at TEMPO TRADE SA GENEVA, beginning with a foundation as a Petroleum Products Trader at Baytur SA. Ugur's academic credentials include an MBA in Business Administration from the University of Zurich and a Natural Sciences Diploma from St. George Austrian College Istanbul.
