Head of Marketing at Element

Steve Loynes has over 25 years of work experience in the field of marketing and communications. Steve is currently the Head of Marketing at Element, a position they have held since March 2020. Prior to that, they worked at Symantec from November 2018 to February 2020 as the Global Demand Communications Director. In this role, Steve developed integrated demand generation campaigns and led corporate and issues management across the region.

Before joining Symantec, Steve was the Head of Technology and Corporate Practices at Porter Novelli London from January 2015 to October 2018. During their time there, they worked with various clients and also developed and ran Western Digital's account-based marketing program.

In 2014, Steve was the Managing Director, Technology, at H+K Strategies UK, where they were responsible for the growth and direction of the UK Technology practice. Steve also sat on the Executive Leadership Committee.

From 2008 to 2013, Steve served as the Managing Director of Chameleon PR, a communications consultancy for technology-driven businesses. During their tenure, they repositioned the company, created new services, and achieved significant growth. Steve was also a board director at The Reptile Group, the parent company of Chameleon.

Steve's earlier experience includes roles at Edelman as an Associate Director from 2004 to 2008, Lighthouse as an Account Director from 2002 to 2004, Novell as the European PR Director from 2000 to 2002, Text 100 as an Account Manager from 1997 to 2000, and Ford PR as an Account Executive from 1996 to 1997.

Throughout their career, Steve has demonstrated strong leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to drive growth and results in the marketing and communications field.

Steve Loynes completed their Senior Management Programme at Omnicom University at Babson College in 2018. Prior to that, from 1992 to 1995, they pursued a BA Hons degree in Business and Media at Central St. Martin's.
