Michael Pearson

Michael Pearson has a strong background in research and development, particularly in the field of CVD technology. Michael is currently working at Element Six as the Head of CVD Applications and Commercial Development, where they lead a team in developing and delivering various projects. Michael also manages innovation priorities and the enquiry-to-order process. Before this role, Michael worked as a Senior Research Scientist at Element Six, where they led multiple R&D projects and provided technical leadership. Michael played a key role in developing jigging for manufacturing diamond windows and was involved in patent submissions. Prior to joining Element Six, Michael worked as a Mathematics Teacher at Bristol Grammar School. Michael also has previous experience as a Research Scientist at Element Six, where they worked on various projects.

Michael Pearson graduated with a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Materials Science from the University of Oxford, where they attended from 2009 to 2013. In addition, they obtained several certifications related to data science and AI, including "IBM Python for Data Science and AI" from Coursera in November 2020, "IBM Data Science Methodology" from Coursera in October 2020, "IBM Tools for Data Science" from Coursera in October 2020, and "IBM What is Data Science" from a course in September 2020.
