Tom Childerhouse

Tom Childerhouse is an experienced Applications Engineer specializing in Precision Machining at Element Six since April 2023. Prior to this role, Tom served as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at The University of Sheffield, focusing on digital manufacturing techniques for machining data analysis from October 2018 to April 2023. During the EngD research phase in Materials Science & Engineering, Tom developed tool materials and cutting tool technology for titanium alloy machining, collaborating with Seco Tools, Element Six, and The Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre. Tom also gained research experience as a Research Engineer at AMRC from September 2016 to August 2017. Tom holds an EngD in Materials Engineering and a Master of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Sheffield.
