On 5.26.2019, the Sunday before Memorial Day, we all stood and watched our design studio burn to the ground.  Some of us had been working in this space 17 years.  That next Tuesday was the first workday after the fire.  Through a combined effort and a lot of positive energy, we managed to secure a temporary work location, purchase all needed IT and phone systems, have all files download to the new server, and we were back up and running that next Monday.  This event brought us closer together, made us stronger, and initiated a rebirth.  As designers and creators, we follow the elements and principles of design daily to provide a foundation for the design thought process.  The word element is both broad and specific: although fire took us down, we have come together as a fluid body of water, ready to design, create and dive headfirst into each project.
