Technical Engineer at Elements XS | Novotx

Christopher Cardinal has a significant background in GIS (Geographic Information System) and IT (Information Technology) roles. Starting in 2010, they worked as a GIS Consultant at the CUNY Institute for Sustainable Cities, where they designed models using ArcGIS and Python scripting to enhance sustainability and urban ecology in the New York City region. Christopher also created a map atlas for a study area in East Harlem. From 2002 to 2020, they served as a GIS/IT Consultant at the Open Space Institute, managing information technology services and performing GIS duties. At Columbia University, they worked as a GIS Analyst/Web Designer, developing an online interactive web map and designing a website for the Institute for the Study of Human Rights. Christopher also worked as a GIS/Database Administrator at the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy. In 2020, they became a Technical Engineer at Elements XS | Novotx, and in 2021, they joined the City of Tucson as a Geographic Information System Programmer. Currently, they are working as a GIS Specialist at Coforge.

Christopher Cardinal obtained a Bachelor's degree in Natural Resources Management and Policy from Rutgers University. Subsequently, they pursued graduate studies at Hunter College, earning a Master's degree in Geography and a Master's degree in Urban Planning. Additionally, they attained a Master's degree in City/Urban, Community and Regional Planning from Hunter College.
