Tom van Nevel

Tom Van Nevel is an experienced GZ-psychologist with a diverse background in psychotherapeutic practice, spanning various settings since 1995. Currently serving at Eleos since April 2017 and as a first-line psychologist at Praktijk voor Psychotherapie Eeklo since August 2010, Tom specializes in outpatient therapy for children, adolescents, and families, utilizing psychodynamic and cognitive behavioral approaches, along with EMDR and schema therapy. Past roles include providing psychotherapy and treatment coordination for youths with intellectual disabilities at Stichting Arduin, and clinical treatment for adolescents with psychiatric issues at Emergis. With a master’s degree in psychological and pedagogical sciences from Ghent University and various advanced training in clinical psychology and therapy techniques, Tom has built a robust expertise in individual and family support across age groups and psychological challenges.
