Steven K. Galson

Steven Galson, MD, MPH, currently serves as a Board Member at BioCryst Pharmaceuticals, Inc. and Elephas, and as a Senior Advisor at the Boston Consulting Group. From September 2010 to June 2021, Steven held multiple senior vice president roles at Amgen, overseeing research and development as well as global regulatory affairs and strategy. Previous experience includes membership on the board of directors at Vanda Pharmaceuticals and a senior vice president role at Leidos, managing civilian health operations. Steven also served as the Acting Assistant Secretary for Health at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and held the position of Acting Surgeon General at the FDA. Academic credentials include an MD from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, an MPH from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, and a BS in Biochemistry from Stony Brook University.
