Jean Bruce Koua has a diverse range of work experience, starting with their current role as Co-founder & COO at Elev, where they provide strategic guidance for capital financing options and oversees all aspects of accounting operations. Jean Bruce also founded an innovative startup selected for the Propel Stage 4 program at Startup Edmonton, which provides guidance and resources for building a company. In addition, Jean has worked as a Student Business Officer at Prairies Economic Development Canada, where they built a CRM tool and provided policy recommendations. Jean Bruce has also held positions at Alberta Investment Management Corporation, LOI - League of Innovators, Western Economic Diversification Canada, Italian Centre Shop, and the University of Alberta. At the University of Alberta, they were part of the Bank of Canada Governor Challenge University Team, where they analyzed macroeconomic and financial data and developed recommendations for monetary policy. Throughout their various roles, Jean has demonstrated skills in finance, entrepreneurship, policy analysis, and research.

Jean Bruce Koua completed their International Baccalaureate Diploma Program in Economics at the International School of Tanganyika from 2015 to 2017. They then pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Economics and a minor in Political Science at the University of Alberta from 2017 to 2022. In May 2021, Jean also obtained a certification in Python for Data Science: Fundamentals Course from Dataquest.io.
