Justin Obney

Justin Obney has a strong background in software development and technology leadership. Justin currently serves as the Chief Technology Officer at PayStar, where they have been since December 2020. Prior to PayStar, they held the position of Director of Software Development at the same company from May 2019 to December 2020.

Before joining PayStar, Justin worked as the CTO at Elevator3 starting from January 2017. Justin also gained experience as the Lead Software Developer at Turner Industries from June 2015 to May 2019, where they were responsible for front-end development, API development, mentoring other developers, and working with project stakeholders.

Justin began their career as a Software Developer at Envoc in November 2012 and worked there until June 2015. Justin worked on various projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams and utilizing Agile methodologies.

Prior to their professional development career, Justin worked as an Assistant Teacher at ITI Technical College from April 2010 to January 2014. Justin would often give guest lectures to students about their post-graduation experiences.

Before that, Justin worked as a Web Application Developer at MMR Group from July 2008 to November 2012. Justin was part of a small team responsible for converting internal MSAccess applications into modular web applications.

Justin Obney attended ITI Technical College from 2007 to 2008, where they obtained an Associate of Science in Information Technology with a specialization in Software. In December 2013, they obtained an Instructor Certification from the State of Louisiana Board of Regents.
