Derick is a Senior Power System Engineer at Elgin since November 2024, bringing a wealth of experience in power systems from previous roles at EnergyCo and KPMG Australia, where Derick held the position of Power System Engineer. Prior to these roles, Derick worked as an Energy Consultant at Energetics and as a Project Engineer at Samsung Electronics. Derick holds a Master’s degree in Energy Trading from Universidade Pernambuco and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering at the University of Technology Sydney, expected to be completed in December 2025.
