Principal Scientist - Automation

Alex Taylor is a robotics and automation engineer with a Master’s in Robotics and extensive experience in system integration and deployment. Previously serving as a Principal Scientist for Automation at Eli Lilly and Company, Alex led the development of robotic and vision-based systems to enhance lab operations. Alex’s notable projects include integrating a 6-axis Mecademic arm for automation and designing tools to optimize workflows. Earlier roles include an internship at the Medicines Innovation Hub, where Alex developed a PLC-controlled hazardous waste disposal system, and positions at Beatdapp and Secret Location, focusing on data analysis and product support, respectively. Alex holds a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Mathematics and Engineering from Queen's University.
