Austin Smith

Austin Smith is currently a Senior Director of Process Chemistry CMC at Eli Lilly and Company, where they have been instrumental in advancing chemical processes. They began their career as a Research Assistant at the College of the Holy Cross from 2005 to 2006 and later earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Chemistry from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2011. Austin held various roles at Amgen, progressing from Scientist to Senior Scientist from 2012 to 2018, and further expanded their expertise as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Emory University in 2012. Prior to their current position, they served as a Senior Director at Loxo Oncology at Lilly from 2021 to 2024.
