Christopher Hanselman

Christopher Hanselman is a research scientist at Eli Lilly and Company, where they work in the Advanced Analytics and Data Science group, developing machine learning pipelines and applying mathematical optimization algorithms to industrial problems. They completed a PhD in Chemical Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University under the supervision of Professor Chrysanthos Gounaris, focusing on mathematical optimization models for designing nanostructured materials. Christopher previously gained experience as a graduate student at Carnegie Mellon and as a DOE Office of Science Graduate Student Research Fellow at the National Energy Technology Laboratory. They also interned at Eli Lilly prior to their current role. Christopher holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Purdue University.
