Dan Liu is an accomplished clinical pharmacology leader with extensive experience in pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, and advanced modeling across various therapeutic areas, particularly in oncology and immunology. Currently serving as Director at Eli Lilly and Company since September 2021, Dan Liu oversees clinical pharmacology for small and large molecules, focusing on life cycle management and regulatory interactions. Previous roles include Principal Scientist at UCB, where Dan Liu led pharmacometric strategy for multiple compounds and received the 2019 silver spot award, and Senior Research Scientist at Certara, where new models for the Simcyp simulator were implemented. Early in the career, Dan Liu held research positions at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and the University of Oxford, focusing on quantitative analysis of imaging data related to cardiac and cancer biomarkers. Dan Liu holds a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from Imperial College London and two degrees from Fudan University.
