David Coates

David Coates is a Sr. Principal Scientist at Eli Lilly and Company, where they have worked since 2010 after previously holding positions as a Senior Scientist and Associate Consultant Chemist. They began their career as a Research Scientist at SSCI/Aptuit from 1999 to 2002, focusing on polymorph screening and solid-state chemistry. Prior to that, they served as a Microbiologist 2 at the Indiana State Department of Health and conducted clathrin research as a Graduate Researcher and Assistant Instructor at Indiana University Bloomington. David earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Wabash College and a Master of Science in Biochemistry from Indiana University Bloomington.
