Derek Berglund is currently the Associate VP of Synthetic Molecule Development at Eli Lilly and Company. They have held various roles within Eli Lilly, including Executive Director of Synthetic Molecule Development and Director of CMC-Project Management. Prior to joining Eli Lilly, Derek worked as a Senior Research Investigator I at Bristol-Myers Squibb from 2003 to 2005. They earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Chemical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Purdue University.
