Derek Starkey is currently the Director of Engineering at Eli Lilly and Company, where they have also served as a Senior Advisor and Associate Senior Consultant Engineer. They earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Chemical Engineering from the University of Florida, where they were a graduate student from 2008 to 2012. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis in 2008.
