Jim MacKrell

Jim MacKrell is currently the Vice President and Global Head of Scientific Innovation at Lilly Ventures, where they provide leadership at the intersection of venture capital strategy and R&D. They have extensive experience in drug discovery and development, previously serving in various roles at Eli Lilly and Company, including Research Scientist and Associate Vice President. Jim holds a Ph.D. in Molecular and Integrative Physiology from the University of Michigan Medical School and a B.S. in Biological Sciences and Biomedical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University. They are involved as a Board Observer at Flare Therapeutics and Superluminal Medicines Inc., demonstrating their commitment to advancing innovation in the biopharmaceutical landscape.
