John Flygare is an accomplished leader in medicinal chemistry, currently serving as the Head of ADC Discovery at Eli Lilly and Company. With extensive experience leading project teams in oncology, infectious diseases, and neurodegeneration, seven compounds from their programs have entered clinical development, including three in human trials and one that has gained approval. Formerly a lecturer at Stanford University, John designed and taught 37 courses in organic and medicinal chemistry, engaging over 5,000 students and achieving notable instructor ratings. They hold a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from Northwestern University and have contributed to over 100 publications and patents throughout their career.
