John Latham

John Latham is the Director of Biophysics at Eli Lilly and Company, a position held since 2023, where they lead hit-to-lead discovery programs and manage teams specializing in Biophysics and Bioconjugation. Prior to this role, John served as an Assistant Professor at the University of Denver from 2015 to 2021, where they established a funded biochemistry laboratory focused on biosynthetic pathways and achieved tenure through significant research contributions. John also completed postdoctoral fellowships at UC Berkeley and Loxo Oncology at Lilly, and earned a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of New Mexico. Their academic journey began with an Associate of Science from New Mexico Military Institute and included a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science from Eastern New Mexico University.
